About Veterinary Hospital of Alvin

Since 1979, The Veterinary Hospital of Alvin has proudly provided compassionate, affordable veterinary care to the pets and families of Alvin and the surrounding communities.

In 2021, the hospital was purchased by Dr. Galvin, who had already been a valued part of our team since 2013. With deep roots in the clinic and a long-standing commitment to our patients, Dr. Galvin continues to lead the practice with the same dedication to quality medicine and compassionate care that clients have come to trust.

We are excited to share that beginning October 2026, we will officially transition to our new name, Texas Animal Hospital. While our name is changing, our ownership, doctor, and caring team will remain the same, and our commitment to your pets’ health and well-being will not change.

We are a small practice with a warm atmosphere where every client and patient is treated with kindness, respect, and individualized attention. Whether you have been with us for years or are visiting for the first time, you and your pet are part of our extended family.

Our services include wellness exams, preventive care, diagnostic workups, surgical procedures, hospitalization when needed, and personalized treatment plans tailored to your pet’s unique needs.

Our doctor and technicians stay current through continuing education and ongoing training, ensuring we provide the most up-to-date medical care, techniques, and technology available in veterinary medicine.
