At The Veterinary Hospital of Alvin, our team is dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care in a welcoming, family-like environment. We believe every pet deserves patience, kindness, and individualized attention at every visit.
We take pride in building lasting relationships with our clients and their pets, and we take the time needed to ensure each patient feels as comfortable and cared for as possible. Our goal is to make every experience as stress-free and supportive as we can—for both pets and the people who love them.

I am a proud member of the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Class of 2000. I received a B.S. in Animal Science from A&M and then earned my DVM from Ross University. I have enjoyed working on large and small animals and exotics in my career and am excited for this new chapter in my life to be the new owner of The Veterinary Hospital of Alvin since October 2021 and making Alvin a part of my life. I love our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, my family, and my country. And I may enjoy the Harry Potter series from time to time. In my free time, I enjoy reading, gardening, and traveling.

Practice Manager
I attended Alvin Community College for Computer Networking, but in October 2013 I found my true calling in veterinary medicine and have been with the Veterinary Hospital of Alvin ever since.
My journey started when our former office manager convinced me to leave retail and give veterinary medicine a try. She thought I'd be a great fit, and over a decade later, I'd say she was right! Throughout my time here, I've worked as a Customer Service Representative, Veterinary Technician, and now Practice Manager. I've also had the privilege of helping the hospital grow through an ownership transition while continuing to provide the personalized care our clients know and love.
My love for animals began growing up on a farm in Kentucky surrounded by horses and cattle. Even after moving into town, our home was always full of pets. Today, my furry family includes three cats—Luci, Charlie, and Pumpkin—as well as a rescued chinchilla who keeps life interesting. My human family consists of my husband and the most adorable little boy you could ever imagine, yes I will show you pictures.
When I'm not at work, you'll usually find me crafting, taking photos, collecting trading card games, or enjoying anything geeky. I also love spending time outdoors when the Texas heat allows it.
One of the greatest joys of my career has been building relationships with our clients and their pets. Being part of their lives—from new puppies and kittens to their senior years—has been incredibly rewarding. I truly love our clients and their pets, and I'm grateful every day to be a small part of their journey.

Office Manager
I was born in the year of our Lord nineteen hundred and eighty-eight, in the small province of Worcester, Massachusetts to loving parents a father born of humble French Canadian immigrants and a mother born in the South to generational southerners. I was an outgoing child and young adult but that all ended when I began my journey in customer service, now the bitter takes me and I must distract myself with puppies and kittens to carry on. When I am not present I enjoy refinishing furniture, archery, and reading to escape reality. I have two animal companions Roscoe a glorious Great Pyrenees/beagle mix a truly beautiful creature and a Grey Tabby, Baby Ruth a small house gremlin who plans my demise. I am married to a man. I hope this has been enlightening.

Customer Service Representative
I joined the Veterinary Hospital of Alvin team in March 2022. I began my career in veterinary medicine in 1988. I managed an emergency and critical care veterinary hospital for over 20 years. In 2021 I was promoted to "Grandma" and was fortunate enough to begin a new career in babysitting my Granddaughter part-time and working with this team part-time as a receptionist. I am enjoying both new positions very much and look forward to meeting and getting to know the wonderful clients and patients.

Hello there! I’m Erica, one of the receptionists here. I joined the team in September 2024 while pregnant with my greatest adventure yet—my son, who now officially runs my world with impressive authority. Although I haven’t been here long, I’ve already experienced a lot and loved every minute of it (coffee has helped).
I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life—chickens, ducks, horses, hamsters, birds, reptiles, dogs, and cats, just to name a few. I was born and raised in Texas and have lived in Santa Fe most of my life. Outside of work, my household is managed by two cats and one tiny human. Zeppelin, my 18-year-old tabby (affectionately known as Old Lady or Mamas), supervises everything quietly and with judgment. Luna, my energetic 5-year-old black cat, firmly believes chaos is not just a lifestyle—it’s a calling.
In my “free time” (a largely mythical concept), I enjoy playing video games and watching TV. When I’m not at work spending time with great people and awesome animals, I’m at home watching my son grow, learn, and remind me daily that naps are a luxury, not a right.

Veterinary Assistant
Hi! I’m Darrian and I’m originally from California, but moved to town a few years ago. I have 7 dogs and 2 cats and I have had a passion for helping animals for years. The end goal is to become an animal sonographer. When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, going on outdoor adventures, petsitting for clients, and enjoying life itself.

Veterinary Assistant
Hi, I’m Natalie! I graduated high school at 15 (yes, I’m officially a teen prodigy) and am currently working toward becoming a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT). I’ve always known I wanted to work in veterinary medicine, so I joined the Veterinary Hospital of Alvin—not just for a job, but to learn, grow, and geek out over animals every day.
I especially love working with cats (I swear they secretly run the world), but I enjoy helping any animal in need since they can’t always help themselves. One of my favorite parts of vet med is placing IV catheters—there’s something oddly satisfying about a job well done and a calm patient afterward.
When I’m not at work, I’m a proud collector of My Little Ponies (don’t judge) and spend my free time wrangling my big furry crew—7 cats and 4 dogs! My cats have a habit of trampling me at every opportunity, and one of them, Three-Legged Larry, keeps life interesting with his “old man kidneys” and three legs. He may be tiny, but he’s got a personality the size of Texas.
I’m still working on my social skills, so if I come off a little awkward sometimes, I apologize—but I promise I’ll always do my absolute best to make sure your pets get the best care possible.

Veterinary Assistant
Hi, I’m Shelby! I graduated from Southern Arkansas University with a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Science: Pre-Veterinary, and I’m currently working toward my dream of becoming a bovine veterinarian. Ever since I decided on this career path, I’ve loved learning everything I can about animal health and care.
I’ve lived in Alvin for most of my life, so working at a clinic in the community that helped raise me felt like the perfect fit. One of the things I enjoy most about veterinary medicine is education—I'm always looking for opportunities to learn and grow. I also love helping people and giving back to the community that has given so much to me.
When I’m not at the clinic, you can usually find me scrapbooking, watching movies, spending time outdoors, fishing, camping, or swimming. I also have three dogs who keep life interesting: Tiger, a lovable mutt who is 100% good boy, and my two Great Danes, Luna and Nova. One of my most unique animal experiences was helping care for a cow named Owen during college. Owen had a cannula installed, which gave me a fascinating hands-on learning experience and plenty of stories to tell.
While this position is a stepping stone toward my long-term goal of becoming a veterinarian, I genuinely care about every patient and client who walks through our doors. My goal is to make sure each pet receives the best care possible and that every client feels welcomed and supported throughout their visit.

Gibbs is an Africa Spur Thigh Sulcata Tortious who is about 7 years old now and her previous owner asked us to care for her when she found out that she has colon cancer and that made it difficult/impossible for her to properly care for Gibbs. She has been at our the clinic since about September 2022. When we got her we where all under the impression she was a he but once she became more comfortable with us we did a more extensive exam on her and discovered he is really a she. She loves yellow squash but wont eat zucchini, she also loves very crisp and crunch kale and will follow you around the clinic to get either of them. She loves exploring her very large out door in closer and walks the perimeter daily. She’s much faster than anyone would expect and will sneak up on you if she’s roaming around inside the clinic. She gets along very well with some of the other clinic animals like the white rabbit and 2 clinic cats who will break into her inside enclosed just to hang out together.
